When does life begin?

When life begins.... you know in your heart, that life begins at conception!

Why is it that when parents-to-be first learn they are pregnant, they always refer to their unborn baby ( or "fetus" which means "little one") as a "baby?"

Why is it that laws protect an unborn baby when the baby is wanted by his or her parents, i.e. when a pregnant woman is injured or hurt, and the unborn baby dies in utero (in the woman's uterus), that criminal charges are filed not only for the woman's injury, but for the baby's death as well????

Medical science - many years ago, established the fact that at the moment of conception, a new genetic life is generated that is unique, and completely different from his or her father, and completely different from his or her mother.

When Mary learned she was pregnant with our Lord Jesus, she went to visit Elizabeth, who was also Mary's cousin.  Elizabeth was married to her husband Zechariah and they lived in Hebron.  Elizabeth had also had become pregnant, which was considered to be a miracle, with her son, who we now call John the Baptist.  Elizabeth was six months pregnant when Mary arrived at their home.  Even before Mary could tell Elizabeth that she was pregnant, Elizabeth said her baby (in her womb) “leapt” at their greeting, (Luke 1:44) and Elizabeth said to Mary, you are "the mother of my Lord."  This was when Mary was still about six months away from giving birth to our Lord, Jesus the Christ.
